Como Head Coach Caution

Cesc Fabregas has urged his players to remain grounded and ignore external excitement following a historic performance in European competition.

The Italian side delivered a stunning display during their latest outing in the league phase, defeating Lens by a remarkable nine goals to one away from home.

This extraordinary result shattered previous benchmarks, establishing a brand-new tournament record for the highest number of away goals scored by any single club in a single fixture in the history of the competition.

Climbing the Standings

Beyond the record-breaking nature of the scoreline, the massive victory provided a significant boost to the team s standing in the overall league phase table.

The three points and superior goal difference propelled the club all the way up to fourth place, placing them in a strong position as the tournament progresses.

Despite the jubilation surrounding the result, the technical staff immediately turned their attention to the challenges ahead.

Avoiding Complacency

Speaking after the match, Fabregas emphasized that the squad must not allow themselves to get caught up in the media attention and praise generated by their historic win.

He stressed that maintaining focus and consistency is essential if the team wishes to sustain their impressive momentum throughout the demanding European campaign.

The manager highlighted the importance of hard work on the training ground rather than dwelling on a single extraordinary night of football.

Looking Ahead

As the competition continues, the club will need to channel the discipline praised by their coach to navigate upcoming fixtures against elite European opposition.

The remarkable away performance against Lens will undoubtedly be remembered as a milestone for the club, but the primary objective remains steady progress in the tournament.

With the manager demanding total concentration, the squad prepares for their next test with the lessons of this historic victory firmly in mind.
