Canada have officially become the 13th team to qualify for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, following a dominant, unbeaten run in the Americas Regional Final. The Nicholas Kirton-led side sealed their spot with a commanding seven-wicket win over the Bahamas in Ontario, ensuring a top finish in the four-team qualifier.
🏏 Canada’s Road to Qualification
Canada’s qualification campaign was nothing short of clinical:
- 110-run win vs Bermuda
- 59-run win vs Cayman Islands
- 10-wicket win vs Bahamas
- 42-run win vs Cayman Islands (5-over match)
- 7-wicket win vs Bahamas (final match)
With five consecutive victories, Canada topped the table and secured their second straight T20 World Cup appearance after debuting in the 2024 edition.
“We came in as favourites and delivered with consistency and intent,” said captain Nicholas Kirton after the final match.

The 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka between February and March 2026, featuring 20 teams in a global celebration of cricket.
